Preparing for SW Florida’s future workforce
In 2019, Lynda successfully defended her dissertation and earned her Doctor of Health Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina. Due to concern about having enough healthcare providers in light of changing demographics and rapid population growth in Southwest Florida, the study objective was to determine the health care needs of Southwest Florida, the type of health care providers required, and then how to best provide educational programs to ensure there are the professionals in future years to meet the needs.
