Lynda first moved to Southwest Florida in 1982, starting out at as a waitress until she secured a job at Barron Collier Companies. She later joined the Marco Island Eagle as the Controller and worked there until she married her husband, Vincent Waterhouse, and then moved to New York. She worked in Manhattan for eight years before moving back to Bonita Springs in 1994 with her husband and son, Nick. She has lived in Bonita Bay since their house was completed in early 1996.
Currently, Lynda is the campus president for Keiser University-Naples, Keiser University’s twenty-first campus in the state of Florida. Previously, Lynda served as CFO, COO, and President/CEO of Wolford College, a private institution providing post-graduate degree training to students seeking to become certified registered nurse anesthetists. In addition to the responsibilities at Wolford College, Lynda served as the Executive Director of Collier Anesthesia, PA for 23 years. Collier Anesthesia, PA, was a large group practice consisting of anesthesiologists, certified registered nurse anesthetists, and business support staff members. Lynda is a Certified Public Accountant and before working in the medical field, had worked as Vice President/Assistant Controller for a large New York financial services company. Upon entering the medical services field, Lynda continued her educational development by attaining a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Miami with a specialization in Healthcare Administration, after that became a Fellow with the American College of Medical Practice Executives, followed by the completion of her Doctor of Healthcare Administration at the Medical University of South Carolina. Lynda has served as an officer on the Leadership Collier Foundation Board, the Collier County Hunger and Homeless Coalition, the Florida Anesthesia Administrator’s Association, Wolford College, Collier Anesthesia, and currently is serving as the Secretary for Youth Haven. She has volunteered on the NCH Hospital Ball Committee, been Co-Vice Chair, and Co-Chair of Leadership Collier Class of 2015 and 2016, and currently serves on the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce Finance Committee, NAF Advisory Board, and part of the Persistence & Completion Team for FutureMakers.
